FROM THE SECRETARY’S DESK, May, 2009

At our April communication we initiated four new Entered Apprentice brothers with Solomon Lodge doing courtesy work on our fifth Entered Apprentice. Thanks to Solomon Lodge # 1 for their help. We wish them well on their journey for further light in masonry.

Congratulations are in order for our Senior Warden Brother Dan Hassell for an excellent degree that he put on. All the officers that moved up did an excellent job.

I know that this is old , but Worshipful Brother Barry Klien who is the Steering Committee Chairman for the 150th anniversary of Etiwan Lodge still needs all the help he can get, so get in touch with him and volunteer for some kind of committee. We don’t have much time to get these things accomplished, so please give WB Barry a call and see if you can help out. He also has coins and decals that need to be sold. His number is 843-884-3848. Many thanks go out to our Senior Deacon Eddie Folbreath who installed new tile flooring in the bathrooms and if you haven’t been in the lodge lately, stop by and see the improvements. This month the Junior Warden Brother Sandy Harley will be putting on the Fellowcraft work, so come out and give him some support. This month we will be having the second reading to change the by-laws on the dues from $ 30.00 a year to $ 40.00 a year. Our third and last reading will be next month.

This is the week of Grand Lodge here in Mount Pleasant. The business sessions will be Thursday, April 23 at 10:00 am and Friday, April 24 at 9:00 am. If you’ve never been to Grand Lodge here is a great opportunity to go. Be sure and wear your Apron.
