At our May communication we initiated five new Fellowcraft brothers. We wish them well on their journey for further light in masonry.

Congratulations are in order for our Junior Warden Brother Robert Harley for an excellent degree that he put on. Many thanks go out to Bro Harley for the hard work he is putting in. We had some great work put on for the FC Degree with our newly made Master Mason, Bro. Timothy Elmer putting on the Letter “G” lecture. It was outstanding. Come out and take part in our Master Mason Degree being put on this month by our Senior Warden Br. Dan Hassell.

Worshipful Brother Barry Klein who is the Steering Committee Chairman for the 150th anniversary of Etiwan Lodge has a confirmed date with the Grand Lodge for the 150th Anniversary ceremony November 14th starting at 1130 A.M. He still needs all the help he can get, so get in touch with him and volunteer for a committee. We don’t have much time to get these things accomplished, so please give WB Barry a call and see if you can help out. His number is 843-884-3848. His email address is bdklein@aol.com . He also has coins and decals that need to be sold.

The Steering Committee is soliciting donations to help pay for the rededication event in November and would like for the people who want to purchase a plaque to please turn the money into the Secretary or WB Barry Klein. The plaques are $50.00 for a Bronze, $100.00 for silver, $200.00 for Gold, and $300.00 for Platinum.

Also, this month we will be reading the third reading to change the by-laws on the dues from $30.00 a year to $40.00 a year. We will also vote at this meeting on the change.

At our last communication a motion was made that Etiwan Lodge be allowed to let Fort Moultrie Lodge # 428 use our Lodge for their Lodge meetings and work. After several discussions on this matter the motion was tabled and the WM selected a committee to investigate the feasibility of Fort Moultrie using the lodge. Some of the things that needed to be worked out were, what it would cost extra for utilities, Insurance questions, length of time before renegotiating their stay, etc: This will be discussed at our June meeting with a vote to follow.

A motion was also made that this committee send to the Secretary the results of their findings so that it could be posted in the Tresselboard before the next meeting. As of this publication there has been no report.

At this time we need to keep in our prayers the family of WB James B. Beauston who departed this life May 3, 2009.
